Parsley

Parsley

Spanish: perejil

Latin Name: Petroselinum crispum

This sweet and aromatic herb has a distinct parsley flavor. With a thicker leaf texture than its cilantro cousin, parsley is more cold tolerant and has a longer shelf life. There are many different varieties, some flat-leafed, others curly, and a wide variety in between each with their own flavor.

Blend it up into a chimichurri, toss it into salads and slaws, or mince it up with ground meat in a variety of dishes to lighten up the flavor profile.
